Hanson Fine Building provides construction management for residential and historically significant buildings.
Our strengths lie at the intersection of historic fabric and high performance, in complicated urban streetscapes and requiring execution of thoughtful, precise design. Our experienced team is dedicated to creating and maintaining good relationships throughout the entire process.
The notion of good stewardship has always been a core value of Hanson Fine Building. We feel both a responsibility and a satisfaction to honor the work and materials we inherit, and to leave things in better condition than we found them. Whether constructing an addition to a family home or restoring a community landmark, we apply the same attention to detail, careful craftsmanship, and exacting work ethic. Part of our responsibility as construction managers requires the creativity to sew the bleeding edge between design details and the out-of-plumb and square conditions that older structures typically offer. We thrive on that challenge.
We also believe that historic preservation and green building are closely linked. In many cases, the greenest building is the one already built. We look for opportunities to reduce waste and create value through a combination of adaptive reuse of existing materials and implementation of energy efficient technologies. Since 2013, Hanson has been a Passive House Institute-US (PHIUS) Certified Builder. We’ve implemented Passive House principles into homes old and new, and we have built homes that have achieved Net Zero.
Our construction managers understand how to deliver on-time, on-budget construction and to properly manage team expectations, performance, and communication. Our company culture – centered around the foundations of honesty, integrity, and adaptability – reflects our commitment to continuity and transparency. We work hard to define and maintain the best interests of every project. Our capabilities include:
